These are a few of my favourite things!

The Holly and the ivy!

Now that it’s officially November, I thought it would be acceptable to post my top picks for Christmas! I’m a real Christmas Keen Bean and love decorating my home, wrapping presents and having fun with family and friends over the holidays.

First up is some super cute partyware by Meri Meri (above and below). I love their stuff and the mix of spots and stripes is adorable. I like these designs because they are fun without being too naff. I LOVE the sparkly rosette tags too – such a lovely finishing touch to presents under the tree.

I like to buy a few new Christmas decorations every year and always end up with a basket full from Paperchase! Here are some fantastic retro-inspired glass baubles – my favourite type. The flamingo is really cool and would make a brilliant centrepiece on a table or by the fireside if you fancy something a little different. The wooden tree decorations remind me of spinning tops and would act as a nice contrast in texture to glass or plastic baubles.

The baubles are beautifully made and really pack a punch on a Christmas tree. There are also lots of different figurines to mix and match; they’re perfect for dotting around fireplaces, window sills and tables.

A lot of people don’t send Christmas cards, which I think is a real shame. I love writing and sending greetings cards (year round!) and am always excited to see all the new designs every year. I spend ages trying to find the perfect card and think I’ve made my choice for this year… although there’s still time for me to change my mind…

Last year, I bought the Candy Cane range (first picture) from Darling Clementine and I think this year’s winner is going to be their Christmas Collection range (second picture) which includes beautiful, vintage-inspired illustrations. They are also sprayed with gold to add to the festive feel – yippeee!

I’m a big fan fan of Ingela P Arrhenius and everything she does. Her work is inspired by vintage illustration and is fun and colourful.  I absolutely love these nativity dolls which she has designed with OMM Design. The set includes all the big names – Mary, Joseph, the three kings and baby Jesus!

Stay tuned for more Christmas themed posts!
