These are a few of my favourite things!

We’ll have Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island too…

Here are a few of my favourite New York related items. I am constantly drawn to products, posters and books about the best city in the world!

First up is this gorgeous little greetings card I spotted in Paper Source when I was in New York, featuring those famous yellow taxis. I love the simple illustration and 50s feel. Beep beep!

Up next is this amazing tableware set called Hopscotch by Kate Spade. I love the taxis, trees and tenements. I have my eye on the tall jar and think it would look great in my kitchen!

One of my favourite pieces in my home is this brilliant Jim Datz poster of yep… you guessed it… Manhattan! It’s fun, colourful and includes fantastic illustration and typography.

This book is one of my all time favourites! This is New York by M. Sasek is a wonderfully illustrated book about New York and is part of a series of books produced from the late 50s – early 70s. The book was published in 1960 and still appeals to children and adults alike. The buzzy atmosphere, beautiful buildings and cool neighbourhoods of New York are perfectly captured. Just perfect.

This cute New York skyline eraser also caught my eye. It’s almost too good to use! There’s also a San Francisco version for those of you who prefer a bit of west coast action! Have a peek at Cavallini & Co
